RAY-BAN
AVIATOR
I have a pair of new wayfarers which I love, and decided I
wanted some aviators. I chose gunmetal grey, g-15 XLT, nice understated color,
and not mirror lenses. But beyond being absolutely sure which color I wanted, I
ended up being the Goldilocks of sunglasses.
First I got the small 52mm aviators, which ended up being
WAY too small for me. I learned the hard way that the mm sizes is not
specifically the distance across your face, it's the size of each lens. I have
the 52mm in the new wayfarers which fit perfectly, so don't let that lead you
to a size in aviators, because the size doesn't translate. So then I got the
55mm in the aviators and they were a tad snug on the side of my face. Then I
ordered the 58mm. These seem to be the best choice for me and I realllly love
them. They're lightweight and comfortable.
In the end, I learned the mm size will have a little to do
with the distance across the face, being the lens get bigger, but it just
wasn't as cut and dry as I thought. It's really best to try these on in person
before ordering to know which size fits you best. Good luck!

PRADA
SPORT
Before buying these sunglasses on Amazon, I had checked them
out at a local Sunglass Hut and Solstice. They were priced at $320 at those
stores. I was shocked seeing them for about half the cost on Amazon. I was a
tiny bit worried about their authenticity when I bought them, but they came and
were exactly what I saw at the stores. "Made in Italy" and polarized,
just as I saw them. They came with a nice Prada case to store them as well as a
microfiber cloth. Great buy, exactly what I wanted for almost 50% cheaper.

RAY-BAN
WAYFARER
If your considering buying the Wayfarer by Ray-Ban, you
already know it as a cultural staple, worn by everyone from Dylan to The Blues
Brothers. But, as cool as the shades are, be careful when it comes to fit. The
"New" Wayfarer is substantially smaller then the old style, as well
as being a tad more modern, not dominating the face as the old kind do.
The
"New" style also comes in two sizes, 52mm and 55mm. I received the 52
only to find them to be a bit too small (I am an average size male), once I
returned them for the 55 I was more then satisfied. So in conclusion I would
recommend the new style Wayfarer to those wanting the signature look of the
style, but with perhaps a bit less obtrusive frame. 55mm is average size, while
52mm would be for females or even some children.
